Working with an Audiologist that follows best practices (just like Dr. Cliff does in his clinics) is the key to a life-transforming hearing care experience. Treating hearing loss properly is complex, and requires a provider willing to invest the time and resources in your optimal hearing results.
Only about 20% of hearing providers follow best practices in audiology...choosing a Best Practice Pro Provider ensures that you will receive hearing care that includes Best Practices -- leading to your best hearing in the situations and with the people that matter the most.
Dr. Rawls has completed a thorough 1 on 1 vetting process with Dr. Cliff himself to verify that she follows Best Practices in patient care.
As an independent Private Practice Audiologist, Dr. Rawls will hand-pick the best hearing technology available for your unique needs.
Cary Audiology Associates is consistently the most highly rated hearing practice in Cary, NC for a reason -- our #1 focus is your experience! You're in great hands with our team!
Dr. Susan Rawls is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and a member of the North Carolina Audiology Association. She is licensed by the State of North Carolina.
Dr. Rawls has been in the audiology profession for over 34years. After working in busy medical (ENT) offices for over 20 years, Dr. Rawls went into private practice in an effort to provide more personal and comprehensive care to her patients, in a less restrictive environment. As ninety percent of hearing loss is not medically correctible, private practice has given her the opportunity to spend more time on the assessment, and more importantly, the aural rehabilitation of hearing loss which is critical for better hearing.
Dr. Rawls earned her Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Connecticut. She later obtained her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida.
She has extensive experience with pediatric through geriatric populations. Dr. Rawls specializes in comprehensive hearing assessment as well as in the fitting of advanced digital hearing instruments. She is a strong advocate for providing Best Practices and evidence-based care, as that often determines the success of treatment. She believes that hearing aids are only as good as they are fit and Best Practices are the roadmap to success. Dr. Rawls is pleased to be part of Dr. Cliff’s Best Practice PRO Network, a network of like-minded audiologists committed to providing best treatment practices as the standard of care.
As an audiologist, Dr. Rawls enjoys getting to know each of her patients, on an individual basis. She is committed to providing professional service with personalized care. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, and running.
